The renovations were curated by the architects of studio XX03 in Andria: Roberta Chieppa, Pino Cimino and Nicola Di Stefano. The team has thoroughly and meticulously preserved the structure’s distinctive features while restoring the beautifully decorated terrazzo floors to their original splendour, as well as the extraordinary decorations on the star-vaulted ceilings. The large Empire-style lounge has been restored with philological attention, while also conserving the original period furniture.
In this marvellous treasure chest, you will find vintage and design furniture by Osvaldo Borsani, Giuseppe Pagano, Paolo Buffa, Ilmari Tapiovaara, Enzo Mari, Scarpa and lighting by Angelo Lelii, Gio Ponti and Max Ingrand.
A new architectural element, harmoniously inserted and respectful of the history of this enchanted residence, is the staircase that connects the garden to the vast terrace: it is in steel, white, and essential, with a balcony that runs along the house offering a spectacular view of the swimming pool and the immense orange grove. A large totemic panel recalls the lights of the local village festivals. The delicate lines of the parapet, left open at the bottom, form splendid decorative arches. Every hour the parapet draws long shadows on the facade and recalls a white curtain stretched out in the sun that sways lightly in the wind.
